Prices remained certain this week. Matif wheat for Dec strike €188/t and €190.50/t for May 2021. Spot prices for wheat during home were €200/t or over, while feed barley was trade during €177/t on a mark or €179-182/t for November.

Irish farmers will be blissful to see a cost of maize rising. Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) corn strike 375.25c/bu on Thursday (September 17) of this week. Cheap maize prices have ravaged pellet prices, quite barley, in a past.

Boortmalt collect price

The collect cost for Boortmalt suppliers finished during €173.73/t this week. The cost is distributed by holding a Free-On-Board (FOB) Creil malting barley (Planet) cost during tighten of business each Wednesday and calculating a normal of this cost from Mar to Sep (week 13 to week 38).

Grain markets

This week, a Irish Farmers’ Association (IFA) reported mark wheat prices of €200-202/t; a mark barley cost of €177/t; and a mark oats cost of €160/t. Spot prices for maize were during €190/t. It should be remarkable that these prices are dusty prices.

November prices were rather aloft for wheat (€202-205/t) and feed barley (€179-182/t). The maize cost for Nov was during €183/t – still trade aloft than barley.

The aloft maize cost will assistance barley cost rather as it is not competing with maize during present.

On a continent this week, feed barley (delivered Rouen) was trade during €171/t on Friday morning, while FOB Creil malting barley was during €177/t.
